These pipes are made from nickel-copper alloy. It contains Nickel in high proportion and it contains a high percentage of copper as well. The combination of potent mechanical properties and chemical balance makes it resistant to seawater and steam at high temperatures. Monel Alloy 400 Seamless Pipes offers an inferior cost option to commercially untainted Nickel because of the Copper content. However, it preserves very parallel properties to Nickel 200 / Nickel 201 Pipes. Monel Alloy K500 Seamless Pipes are almost nonmagnetic, even at relatively low temperatures Also referred as UNS N04400, these Monel 400 Pipes are engaged for heat exchanger piping, process vessels, and storage tanks of gasoline and potable water in the marine sector. This is why industrial applications where high temperatures and voltage are a part of the process use these pipes. And similar properties prevail in salt and caustic solutions as well. The presence of nickel in these pipes determines many physical characteristics. Some of the most prominent are excellent corrosion resistance under the presence of all kind water and acids, good welding ability and high level of mechanical and tensile strength.
